Arvind Rajaraman

TL;DR
This paper introduces a general method for constructing localized supergravity solutions for intersecting branes, including M2-branes ending on M5-branes and strings ending on Dp-branes, with solutions expressed via a nonlinear differential equation.
Contribution
It provides a unified approach to generate localized intersecting brane solutions, extending previous work by fully localizing the branes in supergravity models.
Findings
Solutions expressed through a single nonlinear differential equation
Explicit supergravity solutions for M2-M5 brane intersections
Localized solutions for strings ending on Dp-branes
Abstract
We present a general method for constructing supergravity solutions for intersecting branes. The solutions are written in terms of a single function, which is the solution to a nonlinear differential equation. We illustrate this procedure in detail for the case of M2-branes ending on M5-branes. We also present supergravity solutions for strings ending on Dp-branes. Unlike previous results in the literature, these branes are completely localized.
