D. Karczewska, R. Manka (University of Silesia)

TL;DR
This paper presents a numerical analysis of monopole solutions coupled with a dilaton field, revealing generalized solutions and the possibility of monopoles with dilaton cloud configurations in a higher-dimensional theoretical framework.
Contribution
It introduces new monopole solutions coupled with dilaton fields, extending the classical Prasad-Sommerfield solution within a Kaluza-Klein inspired model.
Findings
Generalized Prasad-Sommerfield monopole solutions obtained.
Monopoles can have dilaton cloud configurations.
Numerical methods applied to coupled field equations.
Abstract
A numerical study of coupled to the dilaton field, static, spherically symmetric monopole solutions inspired by the Kaluza-Klein theory with large extra dimensions are presented. The generalized Prasad-Sommerfield solution is obtained. We show that monopole may have also the dilaton cloud configurations.
