Soliton Gauge States and T-duality of Closed Bosonic String Compatified on Torus
Jen-Chi Lee

TL;DR
This paper explores soliton gauge states in bosonic string theory compactified on a torus, revealing their connection to enhanced gauge symmetries and T-duality at specific moduli points.
Contribution
It demonstrates the relationship between soliton gauge states, enhanced Kac-Moody gauge symmetry, and T-duality in torus-compactified bosonic strings.
Findings
Soliton gauge states are linked to enhanced gauge symmetries.
T-duality is related to the existence of these soliton states.
Enhanced Kac-Moody symmetry occurs at specific moduli points.
Abstract
We study soliton gauge states in the spectrum of bosonic string compatified on torus. The enhenced Kac-Moody gauge symmetry, and thus T-duality, is shown to be related to the existence of these soliton gauge states in some moduli points.
