Dirichlet Branes on a Calabi-Yau Three-fold Orbifold
B. Stefanski Jr

TL;DR
This paper systematically analyzes the D-brane spectrum on a specific Calabi-Yau orbifold, determines the K-theory groups, discovers new stable non-BPS D-branes, and explores their decay channels and T-dual configurations.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive K-theory classification of D-branes on a $ ext{Z}_2 imes ext{Z}_2$ Calabi-Yau orbifold, including new stable non-BPS states and their decay mechanisms.
Findings
Complete agreement between D-brane spectrum and K-theory groups.
Discovery of new stable non-BPS D-branes with complex stability regions.
Identification of decay channels for non-BPS D-branes beyond stability zones.
Abstract
The D-brane spectrum of a Calabi-Yau three-fold orbifold of toroidally compactified Type IIA and Type IIB string theory is analysed systematically. The corresponding K-theory groups are determined and complete agreement is found. New kinds of stable non-BPS D-branes are found, whose stability regions are far more complicated than the previously discussed non-BPS D-branes. The decay channels of non-BPS D-branes beyond their stability regions are identified. Finally the T-dual orbifold is analysed and a suitable K-theory is found.
