A.Smailagic, E. Spallucci

TL;DR
This paper derives a simple, explicit form of the anomalous effective action in arbitrary even dimensions for Abelian gauge fields coupled to fermions, extending the 2D Schwinger model.
Contribution
It provides a novel, straightforward extension of the 2D Schwinger model effective action to higher even dimensions for Abelian gauge theories.
Findings
Explicit form of the anomalous effective action in arbitrary even dimensions.
Extension of the 2D Schwinger model to higher dimensions.
Simplified representation of gauge anomalies in higher dimensions.
Abstract
We construct explicit form of the anomalous effective action, in arbitrary even dimension, for Abelian vector and axial gauge fields coupled to Dirac fermions. It turns out to be a surprisingly simple extension of 2D Schwinger model effective action.
