A Note on Warped String Compactification
Chang S. Chan, Percy L. Paul, Herman Verlinde

TL;DR
This paper reviews warped string geometries from F-theory on Calabi-Yau fourfolds, highlighting their role in realizing supersymmetric Randall-Sundrum scenarios upon reduction to five dimensions.
Contribution
It provides a concise overview of warped string compactifications that support supersymmetric RS models, connecting string theory with phenomenological brane-world scenarios.
Findings
Identifies classes of warped geometries compatible with supersymmetry.
Shows how these geometries reduce to RS-like models in 5D.
Highlights the role of F-theory in constructing such models.
Abstract
We give a short review of a large class of warped string geometries, obtained via F-theory compactified on Calabi-Yau fourfolds, that upon reduction to 5 dimensions give consistent supersymmetric realizations of the RS compactification scenario.
