Diagrams of Noncommutative Phi-Three Theory from String Theory
Oleg Andreev, Harald Dorn (Humboldt-Universitat, Berlin)

TL;DR
This paper derives noncommutative phi-three theory diagrams from open string tachyon amplitudes with a B-field and verifies their factorization properties in the string theory limit.
Contribution
It demonstrates the connection between string theory amplitudes and noncommutative phi-three field theory, including factorization checks.
Findings
Amplitudes reduce to noncommutative phi-three diagrams in the field theory limit.
One-loop amplitudes factorize correctly in the long cylinder limit.
The approach confirms the string theory origin of noncommutative field theories.
Abstract
Starting from tree and one-loop tachyon amplitudes of open string theory in the presence of a constant B-field, we explore two problems. First we show that in the noncommutative field theory limit the amplitudes reduce to tree and one-loop diagrams of the noncommutative phi-three theory. Next, we check factorization of the one-loop amplitudes in the long cylinder limit.
