R. Marotta, F. Pezzella

TL;DR
This paper uses string theory techniques to derive two-loop Feynman diagrams for a scalar field theory with SU(N) symmetry, connecting string amplitudes to quantum field theory results.
Contribution
It introduces a novel method using the string 'cutting and sewing' procedure to obtain multi-loop scalar field theory amplitudes from string tachyon amplitudes.
Findings
Successfully reproduces two-loop Feynman diagrams from string theory
Provides a normalized field theory limit of string amplitudes
Expresses results in Schwinger parametrization
Abstract
The {\em cutting and sewing} procedure is used for getting two-loop order Feynman diagrams of -theory with an internal SU(N) symmetry group, starting from tachyon amplitudes of the open bosonic string theory. In a suitably defined field theory limit, we reproduce the field theory amplitudes properly normalized and expressed in the Schwinger parametrization.
