Chang S. Chan, Ori J. Ganor, Morten Krogh

TL;DR
This paper constructs four-dimensional chiral N=1 gauge theories via compactification of six-dimensional (6D) conformal theories on a torus, incorporating nontrivial bundles of global U(1) symmetry.
Contribution
It introduces a novel method to derive 4D chiral gauge theories from 6D (1,0) theories using torus compactification with nontrivial U(1) bundles.
Findings
Successful construction of 4D chiral gauge theories from 6D theories.
Implementation of nontrivial U(1) bundles in compactification.
Potential new avenues for model building in string theory.
Abstract
We construct chiral N=1 gauge theories in 4D by compactifying the 6D Blum-Intriligator (1,0) theories of 5-branes at singularities on with a nontrivial bundle of the global U(1) symmetry of these theories.
