Noncommutative Yang-Mills from equivalence of star products
Branislav Jurco, Peter Schupp

TL;DR
This paper explains how the equivalence of specific star products on D-branes underpins the transformation between ordinary and noncommutative Yang-Mills theories, clarifying the mathematical foundation of Seiberg-Witten's formulation.
Contribution
It demonstrates that the Seiberg-Witten map arises from the equivalence of star products, providing a mathematical basis for the transformation between the two Yang-Mills theories.
Findings
Star product equivalence explains the Seiberg-Witten map.
Mathematical foundation for noncommutative gauge theories.
Clarifies the role of star products in D-brane physics.
Abstract
It is shown that the transformation between ordinary and noncommutative Yang-Mills theory as formulated by Seiberg and Witten is due to the equivalence of certain star products on the D-brane world-volume.
