Top-quark decay via R-parity violating interactions at the Tevatron
T. Han, M. B. Magro (U. of Wisconsin)

TL;DR
This paper investigates the potential to detect R-parity violating top-quark decays at the Tevatron collider, providing bounds on the coupling strength and exploring the observability of these exotic decay channels.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed analysis of R-parity violating top-quark decays and estimates the sensitivity of Tevatron data to these processes, extending current bounds.
Findings
Existing Tevatron data set a 95% CL upper bound on the coupling.
Tevatron Run II can improve bounds significantly with more data.
Potential to surpass current indirect limits on R-parity violating couplings.
Abstract
We consider the top-quark decay and via explicit R-parity violating interactions in SUSY theories. We discuss the observability of those channels at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. The existing Tevatron data indicate a 95% confidence level upper bound on the coupling to be less than 0.94(0.63) for a long-lived (short-lived) with GeV. At Tevatron Run II with an integrated luminosity of 2 (10) fb, one can obtain a 2 constraint as 0.38 (0.24) for a long-lived and 0.29(0.19) for a short-lived , beyond the current indirect limit.
