Electroweak penguin amplitudes and constraints on $\gamma$ in charmless $B\to VP$ decays
Michael Gronau

TL;DR
This paper investigates electroweak penguin amplitudes in charmless B meson decays to VP final states, deriving SU(3) relations and applying them to constrain the weak phase gamma with minimal theoretical uncertainties.
Contribution
It provides a model-independent analysis of EWP amplitudes in B decays and derives SU(3) relations linking EWP and tree amplitudes, aiding gamma constraint methods.
Findings
Derived SU(3) relations between EWP and tree amplitudes.
Applied relations to constrain gamma in specific B decay modes.
Discussed theoretical uncertainties in the analysis.
Abstract
Electroweak penguin (EWP) amplitudes are studied model-independently in meson decays to charmless final states consisting of a vector meson () and a pseudoscalar meson (). A set of SU(3) relations is derived between EWP contributions and tree amplitudes, in the approximation of retaining only the dominant EWP operators and . Two applications are described for constraining the weak phase , in and (or and ), and in and . Theoretical uncertainties are discussed.
