TL;DR
This paper explores how single top production at the LHC can be used to detect R parity violating couplings involving the third generation, using particle-level simulations and a simplified detector model.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach to probe R parity violation through single top production with detailed simulation methods.
Findings
Potential sensitivity to R parity violating couplings involving the third generation.
Demonstrates feasibility of using single top production as a probe at the LHC.
Provides simulation framework for future experimental analyses.
Abstract
We investigate the potential of the LHC to probe the R parity violating couplings involving the third generation by considering single top production. This study is based on particle level event generation for both signal and background, interfaced to a simplified simulation of the ATLAS detector.
