TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that parity-conserving amplitudes in hyperon decays predicted by the a priori mixing scheme disappear when strong-flavor symmetry is assumed, highlighting symmetry effects on decay amplitudes.
Contribution
It reveals the symmetry limit behavior of a priori mixing amplitudes in hyperon decays, clarifying their dependence on flavor symmetry assumptions.
Findings
Parity-conserving amplitudes vanish in the strong-flavor symmetry limit.
Supports the role of flavor symmetry in decay amplitude predictions.
Provides insight into symmetry properties of hyperon decay mechanisms.
Abstract
We show that the so-called parity-conserving amplitudes predicted in the a priori mixing scheme for non-leptonic and weak radiative decays of hyperons vanish in the strong-flavor symmetry limit.
