Soon-Tae Hong, Young-Jai Park

TL;DR
This paper applies the BFT formalism to the SU(3) Skyrmion model to analyze hyperfine splittings, Weyl ordering corrections, Berry phases, and Casimir effects in strange baryons.
Contribution
It introduces a novel application of the BFT formalism to the SU(3) Skyrmion model, providing insights into hyperfine structures and quantum effects.
Findings
Weyl ordering correction impacts hyperfine splittings
Berry phases are identified in the model
Casimir effects are discussed in the context of strange baryons
Abstract
We newly apply the Batalin, Fradkin and Tyutin (BFT) formalism to the SU(3) flavor Skyrmion model to investigate the Weyl ordering correction to the structure of the hyperfine splittings of strange baryons. On the other hand, the Berry phases and Casimir effects are also discussed.
