TL;DR
This paper clarifies that total neutrino conversion conditions are a specific case of parametric resonance, emphasizing the importance of enhancement peaks in transition probability and discussing their physical implications.
Contribution
It demonstrates the equivalence of total neutrino conversion conditions to parametric resonance criteria and highlights the significance of enhancement peaks over exact probability conditions.
Findings
Total neutrino conversion is a special case of parametric resonance.
Enhancement peaks in transition probability are physically significant.
Discussion of potential realizations and implications of parametric enhancement.
Abstract
We show that the conditions for total neutrino conversion found in [1] are equivalent to the conditions of maximal depth (parametric resonance) and () - phase of parametric oscillations. Therefore the effects considered in [1] are a particular case of the parametric resonance in neutrino oscillations. The existence of strong enhancement peaks in transition probability P rather than the condition P=1 is of physical relevance. We comment on possible realizations and implications of the parametric enhancement of neutrino oscillations.
