Strong Interaction Effects in Scalar Top Production
M. Drees, O.J.P. Eboli

TL;DR
This paper investigates how fragmentation and gluon radiation influence the detection of scalar top quark pairs at electron-positron colliders, especially when the stop and LSP masses are nearly degenerate.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of strong interaction effects on scalar top production signals, focusing on small mass splitting scenarios.
Findings
Strong interaction effects significantly alter kinematic signatures.
Fragmentation and gluon radiation impact detection strategies.
Results are relevant for collider searches with small stop-LSP mass differences.
Abstract
We discuss effects of fragmentation and hard gluon radiation on the signal for the pair production of the lighter scalar top eigenstate at e^+e^- colliders. The main emphasis is on scenarios with small stop--LSP mass splitting, where strong interaction effects can considerably modify kinematical properties of the final state.
