A. Piroth

TL;DR
This paper calculates the static potential in the SU(2)-Higgs model at one-loop level, clarifies its relation to lattice coupling constants, and discusses implications for comparing lattice and perturbative results in finite temperature studies.
Contribution
It provides a detailed one-loop calculation of the static potential and clarifies its connection to lattice coupling constants, aiding comparisons between lattice and perturbative approaches.
Findings
Clarified the relation between the static potential and lattice coupling constants.
Explored implications for finite temperature lattice simulations.
Facilitated better comparison between lattice and perturbative results.
Abstract
We present a one-loop calculation of the static potential in the SU(2)-Higgs model. The connection to the coupling constant definition used in lattice simulations is clarified. The consequences in comparing lattice simulations and perturbative results for finite temperature applications are explored.
