Polarisation in deeply virtual meson production
M. Diehl, T. Gousset, B. Pire

TL;DR
This paper explores polarization effects in exclusive meson production, focusing on helicity selection rules and the partial wave structure of pion pairs, which are relevant for understanding meson decay and production mechanisms.
Contribution
It provides new insights into polarization phenomena in meson production, emphasizing the role of helicity rules and partial wave analysis in interpreting experimental data.
Findings
Helicity selection rule for meson production clarified
Partial wave analysis distinguishes decay and non-decay pion pairs
Implications for experimental polarization measurements
Abstract
We discuss two aspects of polarisation in hard exclusive meson production: the leading-twist selection rule for the meson helicity, and the different partial waves of a (pi pi)-pair which may or may not be due to the decay of a rho.
