Extended Open Inflation
Takeshi Chiba, Masahide Yamaguchi

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel one-field open inflation model using a nonminimally coupled scalar field with polynomial potentials, enabling Coleman-de Luccia instantons and subsequent slow-roll inflation after bubble nucleation.
Contribution
It proposes a new class of open inflation models with nonminimal coupling, expanding the theoretical framework for early universe cosmology.
Findings
Existence of Coleman-de Luccia instantons in the model
Successful realization of slow-roll inflation post-bubble nucleation
Potential for explaining open universe scenarios
Abstract
We present a new type of one-field models for open inflation utilizing a nonminimally coupled scalar field with polynomial potentials in which the Coleman-de Luccia instanton does exist and slow-roll inflation after the bubble nucleation is realized.
