Nonstandard order parameters and the origin of CP violation
B. Holdom

TL;DR
This paper explores how nonstandard order parameters related to chirality can provide new insights into the strong CP problem and flavor symmetry breaking, including standard and novel sources of weak CP violation.
Contribution
It introduces the role of chirality-preserving 2-fermion order parameters in understanding CP violation and flavor symmetry breakdown, proposing new perspectives beyond traditional models.
Findings
Identifies new sources of weak CP violation.
Connects nonstandard order parameters to the strong CP problem.
Provides a framework for alternative CP violation mechanisms.
Abstract
The consideration of chirality-preserving 2-fermion order parameters may shed new light on the strong CP problem and the breakdown of flavor symmetries. We describe two situations, one having the standard KM picture for weak CP violation and another having new sources of weak CP violation.
