Search for CP Violation with a Neutrino Factory
Morimitsu Tanimoto

TL;DR
This paper explores the potential to detect genuine CP violation in neutrino oscillations using a neutrino factory, analyzing oscillation probabilities and asymmetries with consideration of current neutrino data and matter effects.
Contribution
It proposes a method to extract genuine CP violation effects from neutrino oscillation data in a three-family scheme, accounting for matter effects and current neutrino data.
Findings
The magnitude of $ abla P( _e o _)$ could reach 1% with large mixing angles.
Matter effects are negligible if $s_{13}$ is below 0.05 with maximal CP phase.
A method to isolate genuine CP violation effects from oscillation data is proposed.
Abstract
We have discussed the search of the genuine CP violation in a neutrino factory, in which well known neutrino beams are provided by a high intensity muon storage ring. Both and CP odd asymmetry in neutrino oscillations are investigated by taking account of the atmospheric neutrino data and the solar neutrino data. If the large mixing angle MSW solution is taken, the magnitude of could be 1%. If is lower than 0.05 with the maximal CP violating phase, the matter effect is negligible in and . We have proposed how to extract the genuine CP violation effect in the three family scheme from the neutrino oscillation data , and .
