Y.L. Wu (ITP), Y.F. Zhou (ITP)

TL;DR
This paper explores the implications of the general two Higgs doublet model on meson mixing and CP violation, highlighting potential deviations from the Standard Model and their impact on unitarity triangle measurements.
Contribution
It provides a phenomenological analysis of Yukawa coupling constraints and demonstrates the possibility of enhanced D0-D0bar mixing and new CP violation sources in the model.
Findings
Potential for larger D0-D0bar mixing than Standard Model predicts
New sources of CP violation could alter unitarity triangle measurements
Constraints on Yukawa couplings from meson mixing data
Abstract
A phenomenological analysis of the general two Higgs doublet model is presented. Possible constraints of the Yukawa couplings are obtained from the and mixings. A much larger mixing than the standard model prediction is possible. It is shown that the emerging of various new sources of CP violation in the model could strongly affect the determination of the unitarity triangle. It can be helpful to look for a signal of new physics by comparing the extracted angle from two different ways, such as from the process and from fitting the quantities and .
