TL;DR
This paper calculates the static potential in the SU(2)-Higgs model at one-loop level, clarifies the coupling constant definitions between lattice and continuum models, and discusses implications for comparing lattice and perturbative results at finite temperature.
Contribution
It provides a detailed one-loop calculation of the static potential and clarifies the coupling constant definitions used in lattice and continuum frameworks.
Findings
Static potential computed at one-loop in SU(2)-Higgs model
Clarification of coupling constant definitions in lattice and continuum
Implications for finite temperature lattice and perturbative comparisons
Abstract
We present a one-loop calculation of the static potential in the SU(2)-Higgs model. The connection to the coupling constant definition used in lattice simulations is clarified. The consequences in comparing lattice simulations and perturbative results for finite temperature applications are explored.
