TL;DR
This paper reviews recent theoretical advances in understanding spin-dependent effects in diffractive deep inelastic scattering, highlighting violations of sum rules and scaling relations due to unitarity effects.
Contribution
It introduces new insights into s-channel helicity nonconservation effects and their impact on established sum rules and scaling behaviors in diffractive DIS.
Findings
Demise of the Burkhardt-Cottingham sum rule due to unitarity effects
Strong departure from Wandzura-Wilczek relation in scaling behavior
Enhanced understanding of spin effects in diffractive processes
Abstract
I review the recent progress in the theory of s-channel helicity nonconservation (SCHNC) effects in diffractive DIS including the unitarity driven demise of the Burkhardt-Cottingham sum rule and strong scaling departure from the Wandzura-Wilczek relation.
