Isolated-photon production in polarized hadronic collisions
S. Frixione (CERN)

TL;DR
This paper discusses the calculation of isolated-photon production in polarized hadronic collisions, providing predictions for RHIC energies to explore the gluon polarization $\,\Delta g$.
Contribution
It offers the first phenomenological predictions for polarized isolated-photon production relevant to RHIC, aiding in measuring gluon polarization.
Findings
Predictions for isolated-photon cross sections at RHIC energies.
Assessment of the potential to measure gluon polarization $\,\Delta g$.
Discussion on defining isolated-photon cross sections in perturbative QCD.
Abstract
After a short discussion on the definition of isolated-photon cross sections in perturbative QCD, I present phenomenological predictions relevant for polarized hadron-hadron collisions in the RHIC energy range. The possibility of measuring is investigated.
