J. Blumlein, A. Tkabladze (DESY Zeuthen)

TL;DR
This paper calculates nucleon mass corrections to polarized structure functions in deep inelastic scattering, explores their effects on twist relations, and derives new relations between twist-3 contributions, providing estimates for their size.
Contribution
It introduces new relations between twist-3 contributions and assesses the impact of nucleon mass corrections on polarized structure functions.
Findings
Nucleon mass corrections significantly affect g1 and g2 structure functions.
Three new relations between twist-3 contributions are derived.
Estimated size of mass corrections informs experimental analyses.
Abstract
The nucleon mass corrections are calculated to all polarized structure functions for neutral and charged current deep inelastic scattering in lowest order in the coupling constant. The impact of the target mass corrections on the general relations between the twist--2 and twist--3 parts of the structure functions is studied and three new relations between the twist--3 contributions are derived. The size of nucleon mass corrections for the and structure functions are estimated.
