Drell-Hearn-Gerasimov Sum Rule for the Nucleon in the Large-N_c Limit
Thomas D. Cohen, Xiangdong Ji

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that in the large-N_c limit, the Drell-Hearn-Gerasimov sum rule for the nucleon is fully saturated by the elta resonance, with small corrections at order 1/N_c^2.
Contribution
It provides a theoretical analysis showing the dominance of the elta resonance in saturating the sum rule in the large-N_c limit, with quantification of correction orders.
Findings
elta resonance saturates the sum rule at large N_c
Corrections are suppressed at order 1/N_c^2
Sum rule saturation is complete in the large-N_c limit
Abstract
We show that the Drell-Hearn-Gerasimov sum rule for the nucleon is entirely saturated by the \Delta resonance in the limit of a large number of colors, N_c \to \infty. Corrections are at relative order 1/N_c^2.
