Hadronic B decays: Supersymmetric enhancement and a simple spectator model
W. N. Cottingham, H. Mehrban, I. B. Whittingham

TL;DR
This paper explores how supersymmetry can enhance hadronic B decays via gluino penguin processes and introduces a simple spectator model to study the hadronization of final state quarks.
Contribution
It investigates supersymmetric effects on B decay rates and proposes a straightforward spectator model for hadronization, providing new insights into decay mechanisms.
Findings
Supersymmetric contributions significantly enhance certain B decay channels.
The spectator model offers a simplified yet effective approach to hadronization.
Results suggest potential observable effects in B decay experiments.
Abstract
Two aspects of hadronic B decays are investigated. Firstly, the supersymmetric enhancement of hadronic b decays by gluino penguin processes is studied through their effect on the Wilson coefficients of the effective Hamiltonian. Secondly, hadronization of the final state quarks is studied through a simple phase space spectator model.
