Transverse Momentum Dependence of Cumulative Pions
M. Braun, V. Vechernin (St.Petersburg State University)

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the production rates of cumulative pions depend on transverse momentum within a QCD-based parton model, showing that mean transverse momentum increases with x and aligns with experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces a QCD-based parton model to describe the transverse momentum dependence of cumulative pion production in nuclear interactions.
Findings
Mean transverse momentum increases with x in the cumulative region.
Model results agree with experimental data.
Provides insights into the dynamics of cumulative pion production.
Abstract
In the framework of the recently proposed QCD based parton model for the cumulative phenomena in the interactions with nuclei the dependence of the cumulative pion production rates on the transverse momentum is studied. The mean value of the transverse momentum is found to grow with x in the cumulative region. The obtained results are in agreement with the available experimental data.
