J. Kwiecinski, A.D. Martin, J.J. Outhwaite

TL;DR
This paper compares small x QCD predictions with experimental data on deep inelastic scattering events featuring forward jets or pi0 mesons, analyzing the effects of higher order corrections and uncertainties in the theoretical models.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed comparison of small x QCD models with experimental data, including the impact of the consistency condition on the BFKL equation and estimates for double forward jet production.
Findings
Consistency condition significantly affects BFKL predictions.
Uncertainties in QCD predictions are quantified.
Estimated cross-sections for double forward jet production.
Abstract
We compare predictions based on small x (QCD) dynamics with recent data for deep inelastic events containing forward jets or forward pi0 mesons. We quantify the effect of imposing the (higher order) consistency condition on the BFKL equation and study uncertainties inherent in the QCD predictions. We also estimate the cross-section for the forward production of two jets.
