Yu. F. Pirogov, O. V. Zenin (IHEP, Protvino, MIPT, Dolgoprudny)

TL;DR
This paper explores an extension of the Standard Model with vector-like families, analyzing their impact on light quark masses, mixings, and flavor-changing neutral currents, providing both model-independent and explicit case studies.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed analysis of vector-like family extensions, including mixing matrices and flavor-changing neutral currents, with explicit models and general case considerations.
Findings
Mixing matrices for light quarks are derived for both left- and right-handed currents.
Flavor-changing neutral currents mediated by Z and Higgs are characterized.
Explicit realization for one heavy vector-like family case is provided.
Abstract
The standard model extended with the pairs of the vector-like families is studied. The model independent analysis for an arbitrary case and an explicit realization for the case with one pair of the heavy vector-like families are considered. The mixing matrices of the light quarks for the left- and right-handed charged currents, as well as those for the flavour changing neutral currents, both the Z and Higgs mediated, are found.
