TL;DR
This paper uses a Quark Level Linear Sigma Model to evaluate the omega to rho pi transition and omega to 3 pi decay, providing estimates for the coupling constant and analyzing interference effects.
Contribution
It introduces a calculation of the omega to rho pi transition and omega to 3 pi decay within the QLσM, highlighting the role of contact terms and interference effects.
Findings
Estimated coupling constant g_{ωρπ} = (10.33 - 14.75) GeV^{-1}
Contact term generated for ω → 3π decay
Interference effects are significant despite small contact contribution
Abstract
We evaluate the omega to rho pi transition and the omega to 3 pi decay using a Quark Level Linear Sigma Model (). We obtain to be compared with other model dependent estimates averaging to . We show that in the a contact term is generated for the decay. Although the contact contribution by itself is small, the interference effects turn out to be important.
