S.J.Burby (Durham University)

TL;DR
This paper derives an analytic expression for the four-jet rate in electron-positron annihilation, using a formalism that resums key logarithms to all orders, advancing precision in QCD predictions.
Contribution
It provides the first all-orders resummation of leading and next-to-leading logarithms for the four-jet rate in e+e- annihilation within the Durham scheme.
Findings
Analytic formula for four-jet rate derived
Resummation of all leading and next-to-leading logarithms achieved
Enhances theoretical precision in QCD jet predictions
Abstract
We present an analytic expression for the four-jet rate in e+e- annihilation, calculated using the coherent branching formalism in the Durham scheme. Our result resums all the leading and next-to-leading kinematic logarithms to all orders in the QCD strong coupling constant.
