A.D. Martin, M.G. Ryskin, T. Teubner

TL;DR
This paper estimates the cross section for Upsilon photoproduction at HERA using two independent methods, finding good agreement with experimental data and providing insights into perturbative QCD calculations.
Contribution
It introduces two novel estimation approaches for Upsilon photoproduction cross sections and compares them with experimental results.
Findings
Estimates agree with recent HERA measurements.
Two independent methods yield consistent results.
Provides validation for perturbative QCD models.
Abstract
We estimate the cross section for gamma p -> Upsilon p by two independent methods. First, by studying the corrections to the naive leading-order QCD formula and, second, by using parton-hadron duality. The estimates are in good agreement with each other and with the recent measurements of the cross section at HERA.
