TL;DR
This paper investigates tau lepton decays into omega, phi, and pion using chiral Lagrangians, highlighting the sensitivity of decay probabilities to mixing angles and comparing results with experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces a phenomenological SU(3) * SU(3) chiral model to analyze tau decays and emphasizes the impact of mixing angle deviations on decay probabilities.
Findings
Decay probability for tau to phi pi nu is highly sensitive to mixing angle deviations.
Calculated partial widths align with experimental and theoretical data.
The model provides insights into meson mixing effects in tau decays.
Abstract
The \tau \to \omega,\phi \pi^- \nu_\tau decays of the \tau lepton are studied using the method of phenomenological SU(3) * SU(3) chiral Lagrangians. It is shown that the obtained value for the \tau \to \phi \pi \nu_\tau decay probability is very sensitive to deviations from the mixing angle. Calculated partial widths for these decays are compared with the available experimental and theoretical data.
