TL;DR
This paper proposes the search for exotic meson states $X^(1600)$ with specific quantum numbers in photoproduction reactions, providing models, cross section estimates, and feasibility analysis for detection at JEFLAB.
Contribution
It introduces the possibility of observing exotic $X^(1600)$ mesons in $ ho^ ho^0$ decay channels and provides a simple model for reaction amplitudes and cross section estimates.
Findings
Estimated cross sections for various photoproduction reactions.
Feasibility of detecting $X^(1600)$ states at JEFLAB.
Predicted event yield of approximately 2.8 million in 30 days.
Abstract
It is shown that the list of unusual mesons planned for a careful study in photoproduction can be extended by the exotic states with which should be looked for in the decay channels in the reactions and . The full classification of the states by their quantum numbers is presented. A simple model for the spin structure of the , , and reaction amplitudes is formulated and the tentative estimates of the corresponding cross sections at the incident photon energy GeV are obtained: b, b, b,…
