2/3 Splitting in SUSY GUT -- Higgs as Goldstone Boson
Z. Berezhiani

TL;DR
This paper reviews the GIFT mechanism in SUSY GUTs, proposing an extension to SU(6) that naturally addresses the doublet-triplet splitting, $$-problem, and fermion mass issues.
Contribution
It introduces an extension of minimal SUSY SU(5) to SU(6), implementing the GIFT mechanism to solve multiple grand unification puzzles.
Findings
GIFT mechanism effectively solves doublet-triplet splitting
Extension to SU(6) naturally incorporates Higgs as Goldstone boson
Addresses $$-problem and fermion mass issues
Abstract
We briefly review the GIFT (Goltstones instead of Fine Tuning) mechanism which provides a promising solution to the doublet-triplet splitting problem and some other puzzles of the supersymmetric grand unification as are the -problem, the fermion mass problem, etc. It can be naturally implemented by extending the minimal SUSY SU(5) model to the gauge SU(6) theory.
