TL;DR
This paper updates the theoretical analysis of tau hadronic decays to improve the precision in determining the strong coupling constant, incorporating comprehensive perturbative and non-perturbative corrections.
Contribution
It provides an updated theoretical framework for tau decay analysis, including all available corrections, to refine the extraction of micron_s(M_ au^2).
Findings
Accurate calculation of micron_s(M_ au^2) from tau decays.
Inclusion of all perturbative and non-perturbative corrections.
Discussion of experimental uncertainties in micron_s(M_ au^2).
Abstract
The total hadronic width can be accurately calculated using analyticity and the operator product expansion. The theoretical analysis of this observable is updated to include all available perturbative and non-perturbative corrections. The experimental determination of and its actual uncertainties are discussed.
