A gap-less mode of the singlet Higgs field
M. Consoli

TL;DR
This paper discusses the theoretical basis for a gap-less collective mode in the singlet Higgs field, supported by recent lattice results, and explains its emergence in spontaneous symmetry breaking within $bbλ−Φ^4$ theories.
Contribution
It provides a theoretical explanation for the gap-less mode observed in lattice simulations of the singlet Higgs field during spontaneous symmetry breaking.
Findings
Identification of a gap-less mode in the singlet Higgs field
Explanation of long-wavelength collective excitations
Connection to spontaneous symmetry breaking phenomena
Abstract
Recent lattice results suggest the existence of a gap-less mode of the singlet Higgs field. We present a description of spontaneous symmetry breaking in theories showing why one is faced with long-wavelength, collective modes of the scalar condensate with energy in the limit.
