Anomaly Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking, D-terms and R-symmetry
D.R.T. Jones

TL;DR
This paper investigates solutions to the tachyonic slepton problem in anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking by extending the MSSM with an anomaly-free U(1) symmetry, maintaining RG invariance.
Contribution
It introduces two novel methods to resolve the tachyonic slepton issue within AMSB by extending the MSSM with a new anomaly-free U(1) symmetry.
Findings
Both solutions preserve exact RG invariance.
They successfully address the tachyonic slepton problem.
The methods are theoretically consistent and extend the MSSM.
Abstract
We explore two distinct resolutions to the tachyonic slepton puzzle in the Anomaly Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking scenario. Both are based on extending the MSSM by an anomaly free U(1) symmetry, and in both cases exact RG invariance is preserved.
