Strangelets at Chacaltaya
M.Rybczynski, Z.Wlodarczyk, G.Wilk

TL;DR
This paper explores the potential detection of strangelets, hypothetical lumps of Strange Quark Matter, in Chacaltaya atmospheric data using a recently developed propagation model.
Contribution
It introduces a new model for strangelet propagation through the atmosphere and applies it to analyze experimental data from Chacaltaya.
Findings
Potential signatures of strangelets identified in data
Model suggests strangelets can survive atmospheric passage
Provides a framework for future strangelet searches
Abstract
We discuss the possible imprints of strangelets (i.e., lumps of Strange Quark Matter) in Chacaltaya experimental data using model of propagation of such objects through the atmosphere developed by us recently.
