Determining the Spin Structure of the Photon at Future Colliders
M. Stratmann (Regensburg Univ.)

TL;DR
This paper proposes using spin asymmetry measurements in di-jet production at future polarized colliders to determine the spin-dependent parton densities of circularly polarized photons, a previously unmeasured aspect.
Contribution
It introduces a novel method for measuring the spin structure of photons through di-jet production asymmetries at future colliders.
Findings
Spin asymmetry measurements can effectively probe photon spin structure.
Di-jet production is a promising channel for studying polarized photon parton densities.
The approach offers a pathway to explore unmeasured photon spin properties.
Abstract
It is demonstrated that measurements of the spin asymmetry for di-jet production at future polarized colliders appear to be particularly suited for a first determination of the so far unmeasured parton densities of circularly polarized photons.
