## TL;DR

This paper computes the renormalized charm quark mass using quenched Lattice QCD, analyzing correlators to extract a value consistent with previous estimates, and examines the dependence on the strong coupling constant.

## Contribution

It provides a new lattice QCD calculation of the charm quark mass using short-distance correlators in quenched approximation.

## Key findings

- Charmed-quark mass: 1.22(5) GeV
- Sensitivity to the strong coupling constant studied
- Performed on a $16^3 imes 32$ lattice at $eta=6, 6.3$

## Abstract

The correlator of heavy-quark currents is calculated in quenched Lattice QCD on a $16^3 \times 32$-lattice for $\beta= { 6, 6.3 }$. The renormalized charmed quark mass is extracted from the short-distance part of that correlator: $m_c^{\overline{MS}}(m_c) = 1.22(5) GeV$. We study the sensitivity of our data to the strong coupling constant.
