## TL;DR

This paper introduces a novel Hamiltonian lattice method inspired by deep inelastic scattering to compute distribution functions, demonstrating its effectiveness through scalar model tests that align with known scaling behaviors.

## Contribution

The paper presents a new regularisation approach for Hamiltonian lattice calculations based on deep inelastic scattering principles, linking distribution functions with structure functions.

## Key findings

- Agreement with known scaling behavior
- Successful computation of scalar model critical behavior
- Validation against Lüscher and Weisz results

## Abstract

We suggest a new Hamiltonian lattice approach, using a regularisation motivated by deep inelastic scattering. We discuss the relation between distribution functions and the $F_1$ structure function. We have tested this method by computing the critical behaviour of the scalar model and find agreement with scaling behaviour and with results by L\"uscher and Weisz.
