Aida X. El-Khadra (OSU), B. P. Mertens (U Chicago)

TL;DR
This paper discusses the current status of determining heavy quark masses using quarkonia spectra, addressing systematic errors and including explicit lattice effects, with preliminary results.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive approach to calculating heavy quark masses from quarkonia spectra, accounting for systematic errors and lattice effects.
Findings
Systematic errors are thoroughly accounted for.
Explicit inclusion of $ma eq 0$ in perturbative calculations.
Results are preliminary but show progress in quark mass determination.
Abstract
We report on the status of the determination of the heavy quark masses from our calculation of the quarkonia spectra. All sources of systematic errors that enter the quark mass determination are accounted for. We explicitly keep in the perturbative calculation relating the bare lattice mass to a renormalized mass. Our results are still preliminary.
