Bernd Dahmen

TL;DR
This paper applies a strong coupling method to analyze scattering phenomena in SU(2) lattice gauge theory in 2+1 dimensions, calculating key scattering parameters up to second order in the hopping parameter.
Contribution
It introduces a strong coupling analysis for scattering in SU(2) lattice gauge theory, extending previous methods to include second-order calculations in the hopping parameter.
Findings
Calculated cross section, phase shifts, and resonance parameters for glueball collisions.
Demonstrated the effectiveness of the strong coupling approach in this context.
Provided detailed scattering data in the elastic region.
Abstract
A recently proposed method for a strong coupling analysis of scattering phenomena in hamiltonian lattice field theories is applied to the Yang-Mills model in dimensions. The calculation is performed up to second order in the hopping parameter. All relevant quantities that characterize the collision between the lightest glueballs in the elastic region -- cross section, phase shifts, resonance parameters -- are determined.
