C. Korthals Altes, A. Michels, M. Stephanov, M. Teper

TL;DR
This paper computes the interface tension in 2+1 dimensional SU(2) gauge theory at high temperature using lattice methods and confirms the validity of perturbative predictions through comparison.
Contribution
It provides the first lattice calculation of interface tension in 2+1D SU(2) gauge theory at high temperature, validating perturbation theory in this regime.
Findings
Lattice results agree with perturbative predictions
Confirms perturbation theory applicability at high temperature
Provides quantitative data on interface tension in 2+1D gauge theory
Abstract
We calculate on the lattice the interface tension in the SU(2) pure gauge theory in d=2+1 at high temperature. The result is compared to the perturbative prediction. The agreement confirms applicability of the perturbation theory in this case.
