J.B. Kogut, J.-F. Lagae

TL;DR
This paper explores the momentum space lattice approach for studying quenched QED_4, showing it can avoid issues present in traditional methods and presenting preliminary simulation results.
Contribution
It introduces the momentum space lattice method for quenched QED_4 and demonstrates its advantages over conventional position space formulations.
Findings
Method avoids contamination by 4-fermi interactions.
Preliminary results indicate the effectiveness of the approach.
Potential for improved phase diagram studies.
Abstract
We discuss the advantages of using the momentum space lattice method for studying the phase diagram of quenched QED_4. Preliminary results of a numerical simulation are presented. They indicate that the method avoids the contamination by 4-fermi interactions which plagues the conventional position space non-compact formulation.
