Universal behaviour of the SU(2) running coupling constant in the continuum limit
Marco Guagnelli (for the ALPHA Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports on lattice calculations of the SU(2) gauge coupling, demonstrating universality in the continuum limit and assessing the relevance of perturbation theory.
Contribution
It provides evidence for the universality of the SU(2) running coupling in the continuum limit using two different definitions.
Findings
Universality of the continuum limit demonstrated
Two definitions of the coupling yield consistent results
Clarifies the applicability of renormalized perturbation theory
Abstract
We present data from the ALPHA Collaboration about lattice calculation of SU(2) pure--gauge running coupling constant, obtained with two different definitions of the coupling itself, which show universality of the continuum limit and clarify the applicability of renormalized perturbation theory.
